Before starting a business, you need to know if it’s worth starting or not. It’s the same when starting a Cricut business. You need to know if it’s worth it.
I previously wrote an article on the A-Z Cricut Projects to Make and Sell and while that article outlines various projects, it’s important to know if certain types of Cricut businesses are worth starting, and that’s what this article is about.
As with any business, you need to decide what products you will sell. The products you sell are a large part of determining if your Cricut business is worth it. So what 3 Cricut businesses are worth starting?

Shirts
Clothing is obviously one of those things that people always need and when it comes to shirts, people love to showcase their individuality and their connectedness through shirt designs. Individuals buy shirts displaying quotes and sayings, their favorite musicians, their favorite movies, their favorite organizations, their colleges/universities, their schools and the list goes on.
Organizations buy shirts for employee uniforms, charitable functions, and giveaways.
A shirt business is a Cricut business worth starting for the reasons mentioned above and because shirts are pretty inexpensive to make and you can have huge profit margins selling them.
What you need to sell shirts
To sell shirts you need a heat press or Cricut EasyPress machine, some shirts, HTV, and Teflon sheets. Of course, you also need your Cricut machine, a smartphone, laptop, or computer, SVG files, your Cricut mats, and weeding tools.
If you don’t want to make the shirts yourself, you can design them and have them dropshipped. With dropshipping, basically, you would use a service such as Printful to create a shirt mockup and add the mockup to your website that’s linked to Printful. Whenever someone orders a shirt, Printful will make the shirt and ship it to the customer. Printful gets a percentage of the sales and you keep the rest.
Vinyl Decals
A vinyl decal business is a Cricut business worth starting because the profit margins are really high. People use vinyl decals on their car windows, laptops, mugs/drinkware, storage containers, and many more items.
What you need to sell vinyl decals
To sell vinyl decals, you need vinyl, transfer tape, a Cricut machine, a smartphone, laptop, or computer, SVG files, your Cricut mats, and weeding tools. I get my adhesive vinyl from Expressions Vinyl.
Tumblers
A tumbler business is also a Cricut business worth starting. Tumblers have been around for a while and the personalization/customization of them is what makes them a Cricut business worth starting.
You can get tumblers in a variety of colors and sizes and in addition to adding adhesive vinyl to them, you can also add glitter and sublimation to them and seal with epoxy.
What you need to sell tumblers
To sell tumblers you need the tumblers, adhesive vinyl, and transfer tape at the minimum and if you want to jazz them up, you’ll need a sublimation printer/ink, glitter, and epoxy kit.
You’ll also need the basic supplies of you need a Cricut machine, a smartphone, laptop, or computer, SVG files, your Cricut mats, and weeding tools.
Obviously, there are a variety of other types of Cricut businesses that you could start, but I have listed 3 Cricut businesses that I think are worth starting.
With either of the businesses mentioned above, you don’t need an excessive amount of supplies.
