Free Valentine’s Day SVG Files

Love is in the air and Valentine’s Day is right around the corner. Today I have a tutorial on a shirt that I made for my niece and free Valentine’s Day SVG files.

This is my first HTV project and I wanted it to be simple. My niece is 5 fun years old and loves getting gifts, so I decided to make her a personalized shirt for Valentine’s Day.

Supplies you’ll need:

• Shirt
• Vinyl
• Iron
• Cricut machine
• Cricut weeder
• SVG design
• Cloth/Towel

1. Download/Upload the design

You can find the free svg file for this tutorial in my free resource library (along with other svg files and free printables). Upload the design to design space.

2. Resize design and weld

Resize your design to your preference. My design was approximately 3 X 3 for a youth extra small shirt.

Select the design, right click and select attach so your design will be in tact.

3. Mirror your design

Click “Make it” and then click the mirror button.

4. Cut your design

Load your mat into your Cricut machine and cut your design. I cut off just enough vinyl to fit my design.

5. Weed and apply

This is what the design looks like when cut. Use your Cricut weeding tool to weed the design and apply to your shirt.

DIY Home Blocks of Wood

Apply the HTV to your shirt. Use your iron or heat press to apply the design. If you’re using an iron, use the cloth or towel to lay on top of the vinyl and press down with the iron for about 30-45 seconds.
