Making money with your Cricut without a website or business
There are some people who just want to sell their Cricut creations without setting up a business or a website, and that works for them.
For these people, I highly recommend you set up an online process to take customer orders. I recommend using Google Forms or Jotform to do this. This process will allow you to electronically receive customer orders and they will also get a copy of what they submitted so there is no confusion about what was ordered.
I also suggest you set up various payment platforms to accept payments including Square, Stripe, PayPal, and Venmo. With the first 3 platforms, you can send customers an invoice and they can pay using a debit or credit card and with the last 2 platforms, customers can send the money directly to your account.
Making money with your Cricut on Etsy
For those who aren’t ready to set up their own website, Etsy is the perfect place to start making money with your Cricut machine.
I must say that there is a small learning curve to getting used to Etsy, but once you get the hang of it, you’re good to go.
Etsy is a great platform to start making money with your Cricut because it allows you to put your products in front of millions of customers who are likely looking for products similar to yours.

Making money with your Cricut on your own website
I personally think that if you have a Cricut business, it’s a great idea to have an Etsy shop AND your own website. I do not suggest ONLY having an Etsy shop because at any moment, the Etsy algorithm can change and you can go from having lots of sales to hearing crickets.
Don’t put all your eggs in the Etsy basket, create your own website.
Another reason to have your own website is so that customers can know exactly “where” they are getting their products from. I want my customers to say they got their product from InsideOutlined, not on Etsy.
When customers say they got a product on Etsy, there’s a chance that when someone else goes to look up the product, your Etsy shop may not pop up.
Some things to consider with starting your own website are monthly subscriptions, plug-ins, ads, customer reviews, shipping, etc.
I personally use Shopify for my online store and I recommend you do your research to see which e-commerce platform is best for you.
