Heat transfer vinyl
HTV projects are any projects that are made with heat transfer vinyl. In my personal opinion, these projects are in highest demand. People love graphic tshirts and they love personalized tshirts. You can sell these shirts for as much or as little as you want, but it’s good practice to offer a competitive price. You can use my Cricut Pricing guide or Cricut order form to assist you in your Cricut business. The different htv products you can sell as part of your Cricut business include:
- Aprons
- Tshirts
- Kitchen towels
- Koozies
- Makeup bags
- Pillow cases
- Tote bags
Svg files
Svg files are scalable vector graphics that aren’t pixelated and allow you to make clean cuts with your Cricut machine. While you can create your own cut files in Cricut Design Space, you can also use Adobe Illustrator to create your graphics, which is what I do.
Svg files are very popular on Etsy with more than 804,000 results for svg files at the time this blog post was written. There are other online marketplaces whee people sell svg files including Creative Market. A quick search on Pinterest will also show that lots of people are looking for svg files.Tips on selling svg files:
- Come up with sayings that people are looking for
- Make seasonal svg files
- Consider selling commercial licenses for your svg files
Paper
I personally love selling paper crafts because cardstock is inexpensive. My favorite stores to buy cardstock include Amazon, Michaels and Joann Fabric store. As with any Cricut business, you will need to make sure you have enough cardstock on hand for when people place orders. The different paper products you can sell as part of your Cricut business include:
- Confetti
- Cupcake toppers
- Gift boxes
- Gift tags
- Greeting cards
- Stickers
Decals and labels
Vinyl decals and labels are very popular for applying to tumblers, wine glasses, spice jars and laptops. Instead of you selling the actual tumbler or wine glass with the vinyl on it, you can just take custom orders with a name or phrase, cut it out of the vinyl and ship the vinyl. As people try to get more organized in their household decals and labels are in consistent high demand. The different decals and labels you can sell as part of your Cricut business include:
- Vinyl name decals
- Laptop decals
- Spice jar labels
- Car decals
- Wall decals
Drinkware
Personalized drinkware is very popular and a quick search on Etsy and Pinterest will validate that. People love putting their name or favorite quote on mugs and tumblers. For weddings, personalized wine glasses and shot glasses are always a hit. The different drinkware products you can sell as part of your Cricut business include:
- Mugs
- Shot glasses
- Tumblers
- Wine glasses
Wood signs
Wood signs can add an upgrade to any home decor or event. Wood signs are perfect for home decor with your favorite scripture or phrase on them, for your baby’s nursery and for a welcome sign outside your house. Wood signs are also perfect for welcome signs at weddings and so much more. Tips on selling wood signs:
- Determine what size signs you want to sell
- Determine the stain color options you want to sell
- Determine phrases or quotes you want to put on signs
Acrylic signs
Acrylic signs, similar to wood signs, add an element of elegance to events. Acrylics signs are popular for wedding welcome signs, wedding bar signs, wedding seating charts and so much more. Tips on selling acrylic signs:
- Determine what size signs you want to sell
- Determine phrases or quotes you want to put on signs
- Determine if you will paint your signs
For any product that you decide to sell, be sure to do extensive research before you start selling. You may want to start selling one type of product just to get you going, and eventually expand your product offerings. Other things to consider include:
- Determining a name for your Cricut business
- Registering your business with your Secretary of State office
- Buying inventory and supplies for your business
- Pricing your products competitively
- Keeping up with your orders in addition to other things
