Cricut EasyPress Makeup Bag
Makeup bags are simple gifts that can be personalized in a variety of ways! In addition to storing makeup, makeup bags can also be used for other things including school supply holder, storage pouch for purses, and many more uses.
This easy Cricut project is beginner friendly and takes less than 5 minutes to create.
Supplies you’ll need:
- Makeup bag (the one I used or use this one)
- Heat Transfer Vinyl (htv)
- Cricut EasyPress
- Cricut machine
- Svg design
Step 1: Upload the svg file
First you need to upload the svg file to Cricut Design Space. This design is available for purchase in my Etsy shop.

Step 2: Resize your design and attach
Resize your design to fit the size of your makeup bag. My makeup bag was 10″ x 7.25″. I resized the design to be 6″ x 2.865″ in.
Next, select the design and click attach in the bottom right corner so your design will be in tact.
Step 3: Cut your design
Click “Make it” and don’t forget to mirror your design. Load your mat into your Cricut machine and cut your design.
Step 4: Apply your design
Place your design where you want it to be on your makeup bag. Use your Cricut EasyPress machine to adhere the design to your bag.
The Cricut EasyPress settings that I used are 305 degrees for 30 seconds.

This Cricut makeup bag is so easy to make and super cute!! Here pretty soon I’ll be selling these makeup bags in my Etsy shop so be on the lookout.
This design can also be used to put on tumblers, mugs, laptops and so much more!

Cricut Baby Onesie – Gender Neutral
Making personalized baby onesies with your Cricut machine is so easy. While I don’t have any kids of my own, I am an auntie and enjoy crafting for my nieces and nephews.
This gender neutral onesie is so quick and easy to make that you’ll want to make several at a time. This onesie can be given as a baby shower gift or birthday gift and can be for the precious baby girl or baby boy in your life. Let’s get started!
Supplies you’ll need:

You can get this Hello World svg file in my Free Resource Library. Upload the design to Cricut Design Space. If you’re not sure how to do this, I have a tutorial on How To Upload SVG Files To Cricut Design Space.
Step 2: Resize your design
Resize your design to fit your onesie. I am using a 6 month onesie and my design was 4.875 in. x 2.739 in.
Step 3: Cut your design

Place your heat transfer vinyl (htv) on your Cricut mat and use your Cricut machine to cut your design. DON’T FORGET TO MIRROR!
Step 4: Apply your design

Place your design where you want it on your onesie and use your iron or Cricut EasyPress to apply your design.

Back To School Teacher Gift – Clipboard Decorating
Summer is wrapping up and school will be in full swing in a few more weeks. It seems like it was just yesterday when we were celebrating Teacher Appreciation Week in May and here we are getting ready to go back to school.
This easy clipboard makes the perfect back to school teacher gift. While I’m not a teacher by trade, I do enjoy teaching readers like yourself how to use their Cricut machines.
Supplies you’ll need:
Step 1: Upload the svg file
First you need to upload the svg file to Cricut Design Space. I have this design in my Etsy shop as part of a teacher bundle. You can get that file here.

For the teacher’s name, you can type it yourself. The font I used is Amelya.
Step 2: Resize your design
Resize your design to fit the size of your clipboard. I used this exact clipboard which was 9 in. X 13 in. I added a rectangle, the same size as my clipboard, to Design Space so I could overlay my design and resize it.

Step 3: Cut your design
Once I determined the size vinyl I needed for each word/design, I used my Cricut Explore Air 2 to cut my vinyl to those sizes and put them on my mat.

Step 4: Apply your design
Using transfer tape, apply your design to your clipboard and you are all done. What I love about this clipboard is that it has an elastic cord on that back where you can attach papers, pens, pencils, etc.

I hope you’ve enjoyed this clipboard decorating project as a back to school gift for your child’s teacher. Don’t forget to like, share or comment on this post! #backtoschool

Cricut EasyPress Temperature Guide

If you’re searching for a machine to create your heat transfer projects or Cricut iron-on projects then you should definitely take a look at the Cricut EasyPress machines.
The Cricut EasyPress is one of Cricut’s versions of a heat press. With the Cricut EasyPress you can use heat transfer vinyl (HTV) or iron-on to personalize tshirts, onesies, makeup bags, blankets, and more. The EasyPress heats up to 400 degrees and gives your project a professional finish every time.
I bought my 12×10 Cricut EasyPress 2 in the color raspberry a few years ago. Cricut also has smaller options and different color options available as well. The brand of HTV I like to use is Siser EasyWeed and you can find it on Amazon.
I’ve enjoyed using my EasyPress and thought I would create a Cricut EasyPress temperature guide for you.
Layout of Cricut EasyPress 2

Power button – Turn your Cricut EasyPress on or off with the power button.
Start button (Cricut button) – Use the start button to start the timer and create your heat transfer project. When your start button is orange that means your EasyPress is heating up and when it’s green it means the temperature has been reached.
Heat control buttons – The button with the thermometer allows you to activate your specific heat settings. Use the plus and minus buttons to increase or decrease the temperature for your project. To switch from Fahrenheit to Celsius, press and hold the thermometer button.
Timer button – The button with the clock allows you to adjust the time for your project. Use the plus and minus buttons to increase or decrease the time.
You will hear a beeping sound that indicates that your EasyPress is ready to begin using and you will also hear that same beeping sound when the timer counts down to zero. A great plus to the Cricut EasPress is that it has auto shut off so you don’t have to worry if you forget to turn it off.
Plus and minus buttons – The plus and minus buttons allow you to increase and decrease the time and temperature.
When the Cricut button on your Cricut EasyPress is orange, it means that the machine is still heating up. When the button is green, it means the set temperature has been reached.
Size of Cricut EasyPress 2
The Cricut EasyPress 2 machine comes in 3 different sizes which include:
- 6” x 7”
- 9” x 9”
- 12” x 10”
- Cricut EasyPress mini to be used for smaller projects. Please note that the only heat settings for the Cricut EasyPress mini are only low, medium, and high.
In the Cricut EasyPress 2 Box
When you get your Cricut EasyPress 2 machine, you can expect to find the following in the box:
- Cricut EasyPress® 2 12″ x 10″
- Safety Base
- Welcome Book
- Materials for a practice project
The safety base is the black part that you will always sit your Cricut EasyPress 2.

The practice project that came with my EasyPress was a canvas bag to put the Cricut “C” on. They provided all the instructions on how to apply the design to the bag and the design was already weeded and ready to apply.
What does the EasyPress 2 do?
The Cricut EasyPress is a type of heat press machine. You can use it to apply heat transfer designs to clothing, blankets, makeup bags, face masks, sleeping masks, and more and get a professional finish every time.
The process of using a Cricut EasyPress machine involves cutting heat transfer vinyl with your Cricut machine and then applying it to your tshirt, face mask, etc. with the Cricut EasyPress 2 machine. Simple as that.

Things to Know about Cricut EasyPress
- Always use your Cricut EasyPress machine on a hard surface about waist high – never use on an ironing board
- Always avoid buttons, zippers, and seams, when pressing your heat transfer vinyl onto your base material. If you try to place the heat transfer vinyl across buttons, zippers, and seams, the design won’t receive even heat, resulting in unwanted effects.
- When applying your HTV designs in hard-to-reach places use the Cricut EasyPress Mini or an iron.
- If using Cricut Infustible Ink, make sure you also have heat resistant tape to prevent your design from shifting when placing the Cricut EasyPress machine on it.
Can you use parchment paper with Cricut EasyPress 2?
Yes, you can use parchment paper with your Cricut EasyPress 2. Obviously, you can use parchment paper in your oven and your oven gets pretty hot, so you can also use it to protect your design when applying it to your material.
Do you need a Teflon sheet for Cricut EasyPress machine?
I recommend using a teflon sheet with your Cricut EasyPress machine if you do not have parchment paper. Again, you want to protect your design from direct contact with the Cricut EasyPress machine, so you should either have parchment paper or a teflon sheet on hand.
Do you need the Cricut EasyPress mat?
I highly recommend getting a Cricut EasyPress mat. For a long time I only used a towel when using my EasyPress and the heat transfer vinyl applied just fine. But towels can hold too much moisture and cause unwanted transfer effects.
When I invested in the Cricut EasyPress mat, it allowed me to align my design onto my shirt or other items easier, because I could see the outline of the mat.
I was also able to put the mat inside of shirts to prevent any bleed-through that may happen when using Cricut Infusible ink.
Read this article on How to Use a Cricut EasyPress Mat.
What is the highest temperature for Cricut EasyPress 2?
The highest temperature the Cricut EasyPress 2 can go is 400°F or 205°C.
Is the Cricut EasyPress 2 worth it?
I think the Cricut EasyPress is worth it if you don’t have the space for a heat press and if you only make a few heat transfer projects here and there.
If you anticipate making large quantities of shirts, onesies, etc., I would suggest you get a heat press, because you won’t have to press down on all those shirts.
The best heat transfer vinyl to use with Cricut EasyPress 2
I prefer to use Siser easy weed vinyl to make all of my heat transfer vinyl projects. I have never had a problem using this vinyl before. Sometimes if I run out of the Siser Easy Weed vinyl, I will buy some Cricut vinyl from Michaels or Hobby Lobby, but only when it’s on sale.
You can also use Cricut Infusible ink with your Cricut EasyPress. This infusible ink actually infuses into the fabric of your material instead of sitting on your material like HTV does.

Which is better Cricut EasyPress 2 or heat press?
I have a heat press and the Cricut EasyPress 2 and I like them both for different reasons. Depending on what you’re planning to press or “iron on”, a Cricut EasyPress may suit your needs. I personally think that heat presses are more necessary if you want to make large quantities of heat pressed items and if you have a larger space to store your heat press machine.
If you don’t make a ton of HTV/iron-on projects, a Cricut EasyPress will be perfect for you.

Cricut Reverse Canvas Sign With Acrylic Paint

Reverse canvases are pretty popular right now. DIY reverse canvases can add that farmhouse chic look to any home. In this really simple diy tutorial I’ll show you how to create a diy reverse canvas with acrylic paint.
Supplies you’ll need:
- 8×10 Canvas
- Pliers
- Scissors
- Cricut machine
- Cricut EasyPress machine
- Vinyl
- Paint
- Paint Brush
- Glue gun
- Free svg design
Step 1: Separate your canvas

Using your pliers, pull the staples out the back of the canvas. If your pliers aren’t getting the job done, find some other pointed tool to safely remove the staples.
Once your canvas is separated from the wood frame, sit the canvas to the side.
Step 2: Paint or stain your frame

Paint your wood frame with your favorite color acrylic paint or you can also stain your frame with wood stain. If you are using acrylic paint, allow the frame to sit for at least 2 hours before beginning to assemble. If you are using wood stain I recommend at least 24 hours for your frame to dry completely.
Step 3: Cut your heat transfer vinyl

Open Cricut Design Space and upload the free svg file that I used for this diy reverse canvas. Resize your design to fit within your frame being sure to leave a few inches of extra space around your design.
Mirror your design and then cut your htv with your Cricut machine.
Using your Cricut EasyPress machine adhere the htv to the canvas. I recommend using a temperature setting of 280 degrees for 5-10 seconds. Don’t forget to center your design on the canvas.
Step 5: Assemble your canvas
Lay your frame on top of your canvas and use a pencil to trace the frame onto the canvas. Be sure that your design is centered on the canvas and then trace the frame.
Use your scissors to cut away the excess canvas.
Using your glue gun, adhere the canvas to the back of your frame. You can also use a staple gun to staple your canvas to your frame.
And just like that you are all done!!
I hope you enjoyed this Cricut reverse canvas tutorial. Don’t forget to pin this post!

DIY Graduation Card and Decorations
Can’t you hear the commencement music playing? Graduation is an exciting time filled with celebrating a major life accomplishment. Family and friends rally around the graduate to show support and wish them well in all their endeavors.

Today I will show you how to make a diy graduation card, diy graduation confetti and a graduation decal for champagne glasses.
Each of these diy projects are easy and take less than 10 minutes to make.
DIY Graduation Card
Supplies you’ll need:
- Cardstock
- Cricut machine
- Scoring stylus/wheel
- Double sided tape
- Glue gun
- Rhinestones
- Free graduation card svg file
How to Make DIY Card
1. Before uploading the graduation svg file, add 3 square shapes to your canvas.
- Unlock your squares and resize them to the following sizes:
- Base of card black layer – 9.5 x 7.5 in
- White layer – 4.5 x 7 in
- Patterned layer – 3.75 x 6.5 in
2. Add 3 score lines to the base card.
3. Cut each cardstock layer in your color choice and use double sided tape to adhere down, being sure to center them.
4. Upload the graduation card svg file to Cricut Design Space.

5. Hide everything that will not be on your graduation card.
- Resize the objects to the following sizes:
- Graduation cap – 2.5 x 1.116 in
- Black layer behind congrats – 3.75 x 1 in
- Gold layer behind congrats – 3.25 x .75 in
- Congrats letters – 3.596 x 0.5 in
- Banner (each individual piece) – .75 x 09.76 in
- 2019 – 2.139 x 0.689 in
(There is no explanation behind the odd sizing of the objects. I just unlocked the objects and changed the width or height and whatever populated for the dimension I wasn’t changing, that’s what I went with.)
6. Cut your objects in the color of your choice and use the double sided tape to adhere them onto your card.
7. Use a glue gun to adhere a rhinestone on the graduation cap.
Simple as that! You can hand write whatever you want inside the card or you can use this tutorial to use your Cricut machine to write a personal message.

DIY Mother’s Day Card

Mother’s Day is right around the corner and if you want to make the perfect personalized gift for the moms in your life, this DIY Mother’s Day card is the right craft project to express your love.
It can be difficult to find or create the perfect gift for mom and you want something that’s different than what you’ve given her before and something that shows that you put time and effort into it.
This project is very simple, affordable and takes less than 10 supplies to create. The basis for this project is cutting out cardstock hearts and gluing them to the base of the card. You can also use your Cricut machine to write a personal message inside your Mother’s Day card. Check out this post on Writing with Your Cricut Explore Air 2, No Bubble Letters.
If you enjoy paper crafting this project is for you!
Supplies you’ll need:
- Cardstock
- Vinyl
- Cricut machine
- Glue gun/glue stick
- Free Mother’s Day Svg file
- Scoring wheel/stylus
Step 1: Upload the SVG File

First upload the svg file in Cricut Design Space or if you don’t own a Cricut or Silhouette machine, you can cut the design out by hand. You can download this free Mother’s Day svg file in my Free Resource Library.
If you’re not sure of how to upload an svg file to Cricut Design Space check out this tutorial.
Step 2: Sort your shapes by color

Ungroup the design and sort and regroup your hearts by color. You can resize any of the shapes to your liking.
Step 3: Cut your design
In Design Space, cut out the word mom in your preferred cardstock color or vinyl then cut out your hearts in your preferred colors. Don’t forget to change your materials to cardstock or vinyl when cutting.
Step 4: Cut the base of your card
Next you want to hide all of your designs and then insert a rectangle. Unlock the size handles and resize your rectangle to be 9.5 width by 7.5 height.
You also want to score your card with your scoring wheel or scoring stylus so it will fold easily. Add 3 score lines to your rectangle and make sure they are centered by selecting your rectangle and all score lines and clicking Align and Center Horizontally.
Click Make It and your Cricut machine will score your card first then cut it.
Step 5: Assemble your card

If you cut out the word mom in vinyl, center it on the base of your card and glue the hearts on your card.
If you cut the word mom out of cardstock, center and glue the word mom onto your card first and then glue the hearts on your card to your liking.
I used a black ballpoint pen to trace the hearts and the word mom to make them bold and stand out more. You can use any combination of cardstock or vinyl to make this diy Mother’s Day card come alive!
You can also make your mom a pillow box and put candy in there, a necklace or an appreciation note.

I hope you enjoyed this tutorial on how to make a DIY Mother’s Day Card. Don’t forget to pin it for later!
