“To do what is right and just is more acceptable to the Lord than sacrifice.” Proverbs 21:2 NIV
Many people buy their Cricut machines with anticipation of creating crafts for their family, friends and loved ones. Other people, like myself, buy their Cricut machines in anticipation of creating crafts to sell. Regardless of which category you fall in, or if you’re a combination of the two, starting a business with your Cricut machine can be an exciting adventure.
I currently sell my Cricut crafts on Etsy, my blog and in person and I must say that I’ve had success that motivates me to keep moving forward. While there’s waaayyy more to a Cricut business than just creating your crafts/products, such as filing as a business in your state, marketing, creating your designs and determining how to price your items, I wanted to talk about the startup costs of different Cricut businesses.
As you may have expected, depending on what crafts/products you plan to make and sell with your Cricut machine, the cost of running your Cricut business will vary. In this post I will cover the basic supplies you need to sell the different Cricut crafts/products.
Please note that your prices may vary depending on where you buy your supplies. Also note that you may need additional supplies for packaging and shipping your crafts/products. My calculation estimates do not include taxes or shipping of your supplies to you. My calculations also assume that you have a Cricut machine, Cricut basic toolset and Cricut mats.
What type of cricut products will you sell?
I wrote a blog post on the Different Types Of Cricut Businesses To Start and another post on A-Z Cricut Projects to Make or Sell. Although there are many different crafts/products you can make with your Cricut machine, I will go into a few of those different crafts/products.
