When someone makes us a promise, they can sometimes break it and we never imagine that we’ll have to fight for it to make it a reality. It’s the same when God makes us a promise, sometimes we have to fight for it, but guess what, God’s Promises Are True.
I’m sure that’s what the Israelites thought when God said He had the Promised Land for them (this promise was made to Abraham and followed through by leaders like Moses and Joshua). Initially, initially the Israelites probably didn’t think they’d have to fight to get their promise. They probably thought that they would wander upon this uninhabited land flowing with milk and honey, but instead, they had to fight to receive their promise. They started with the City of Jericho and from there conquered many cities within the Promised land. Without the fight, they wouldn’t have received their promise.
So I ask you, what has God promised you that you will have to fight for? Are you ready to fight? Are you afraid to fight?
Remember this, anything worth having is worth fighting/working for. Oftentimes it’s in the fight that God recognizes our faith and fulfills His promise. God’s Promises Are True.
